Action Wrench torque spec

Hi,

I had my gunsmith chamber a switch barrel for my action as spare barrel.

Just wonder during change a new barrel, how many ft/lb should I wrench new barrel?

Thanks

Your gunsmith should have indexed the barrels to an index mark on your action. Tighten until the marks line up and you are done. If you can not find an index mark ask him. Double check with Go/No-go gauges to be sure.

Tighten the barrel by hand, then snug it up with your action wrench. Done ;) Your barrel does not need to be torqued.

Ive never seen a real gunsmith torque one. Most use a big t handle wrench that you cant torque anyway. Like they said screw it down then snug it.

Thx for info.

Just want to double check due to Burke @ Whidden Gunworks said " We don't use any specific foot pounds just tighten it with your hands till it comes to a stop. "
