maybe walker himself??...My latest 40x that I acquired is an old custom shop and the bolt lift is nothing like a Remington 700. It is smooth as silk. I want to know whoever set that thing up.

He's saying the barrel is about gone, not the action. Then he will sell the action.. MattWow, this post really caught my eye. Remember my thread just recently about custom action longevity? ( who can forget the Brazilian! ) lots of people said custom actions last forever! I'm very curious as to what's causing that TL3 to be gone too. How many rounds? Define gone. I have the Bighorn Origin on order. Thanx Mike
Yes I did miss read his statement, which is accually good news. He's saying the barrel is about gone, not the action. Then he will sell the action.. Matt
I don't like telling people how to spend their money, I have Defiance, LA & SA. I'll take an Impact Precision over them all day, every day, look into them.Well as an update I have purchased a gun that has been listed in the for sale forum with a Remington trued action in 6.5x284 and I am leaning toward the Defiance Tactical long action, I do appreciate the input and will continue to keep an ear to the ground before I purchase that action.

Give that action a go for a while and compare it to the custom when you rebarrel it. Then you'll truly know if a custom action really is more accurate.Well as an update I have purchased a gun that has been listed in the for sale forum with a Remington trued action in 6.5x284 and I am leaning toward the Defiance Tactical long action, I do appreciate the input and will continue to keep an ear to the ground before I purchase that action.
Nice actions but limited to single feed. If that's suits your requirements, they are very nice.I don't like telling people how to spend their money, I have Defiance, LA & SA. I'll take an Impact Precision over them all day, every day, look into them.
Mine are single feed in the sense only one case goes in the chamber at a time, it uses a magazine.Nice actions but limited to single feed. If that's suits your requirements, they are very nice.
Last I( thought)i knew they only made single shot actions no repeaters. Must be they offer it now.Mine are single feed in the sense only one case goes in the chamber at a time, it uses a magazine.
I don't know much about them other than I own 2 SA 308 repeaters, I like them, use trigger hanger to control bolt lift, nice simple actions.Last I knew they only made single shot actions no magazine cut out in the actions. Must be they offer it now.
That's great news or maybe I should say it's knowledge I never had reading about them. At one point there add said they don't accept BDL hardware and there was no mag opening in the bottom of the action for use as a repeater. Either way, good deal. They look like very nice actions. One shooter at Camp Grayling shoots with one in the .308 BF also. His is a single shot and really likes it.I don't know much about them other than I own 2 SA 308 repeaters, I like them, use trigger hanger to control bolt lift, nice simple actions.
