Action rail mounted bubble level

That item looks to be a scope leveling kit along the same lines as the Wheeler kit. Not sure how you adjust (zero) the pic rail-mounted level part. It might work though. There are others along the same design that mount to the rail instead of the more common design of wrapping around scope tube. Pic rails are very inconsistent so you'll need a way to adjust the level.

Spuhr makes a bubble level that mounts on their scope mounts. It is very nice, visibility-wise for your alternate eye. It is adjustable for zero. Downsides are 1) high price 2) it protrudes out away from the scope so you have be careful of crashing it. You cannot reverse it and have it hang over the center of the scope.

Thanks! Wow they like to charge a lot. I was hoping using the action rail would mean it would sit true but I guess that's optimistic.

I'm long-sighted and (currently) shoot without glasses using the diopter adjustment in my scope. It means I find it impossible to see the bubble integrated into the Spuhr mount (which is shrouded by the scope in any event). That might work if I can set it right at the front of the scope.

@wedgy would never have done that myself. Perhaps when faced with the plethora of options after doing the Google search, including the first hit which I linked to above, I thought I'd seek the views of experts here to see if there was something I hadn't thought of. ;) @gdbleb made the very good point of not trusting the rail alone to provide a good reference point. How important is this? (The Ken Farrell product costs more than the Spuhr :oops: without the adjustment ability.)

I have used most types and found the "cheaper" ones are generally just that and often aren't level with the rail when clamped onto it. The swing out Wheeler one has a bit of play in it so it depends how you swing it out whether it will be "level' or not. I generally use the type that clamps to the scope and is set to the left side so I can see it with my left eye as I aim with my right eye.

Could this be what you are looking for?

Sir, if you search for " anti cant bubble rail mounted", you will find several options including the ones from us optics.

Don't get a rail mounted level. Get one that is mounted to the scope body and ensure its level with your reticle. You'll be able to see it from position, and it can go with the scope and remain level no matter where you mount that scope.

Rail mounted levels are hard to see and require you to break position. I like the Accuracy 1st level.

US OPTICS Anti-cant

Added;
a 300wsm does not break up the bubble into many smaller bubbles, as the less expensive levels do.

This is the one I use. Like Dusty mentioned, it is relatively simple to mount behind the rear scope ring (i.e. at the end of the rail nearest your face). They are a little more pricey than some other mounts, but I have them on all my rifles and have been very happy with the performance. Just be aware as with many of the rail-mounted anti-cant devices, that the bubble may not be perfectly centered after the top of the rail has been leveled and the device mounted on it. If not, it is pretty simple to use a shim of some sort to center the bubble. I use a small folded piece of aluminum foil under one side or the other. I can fold it to whatever thickness is required to center the bubble.
