action length

I have a savage model 110 that i might use as a donor for a 6br build. would the long action be ok or is a short going to be more practical? if short is recommended, i will probably buy a new rifle with accutrigger or a new stevens. this will more than likely end up with a varmint or tactical stock. also considering 6.5x47 instead of 6br. any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated.

No real reason I can think of that your SA won't work with the 6br or the 6.5x47 Lapua.
One school of thought is the SA will be stiffer than a LA, but you would need to be a top notch BR shooter to notice that difference I think..
