action question please help

I have a 300wsm that I would like to build into a 6br or 6.5x47 and my question is can I downsize the boltface and if not can I just get a short action bolt with the boltface i need or is the short magnum action different from a standard short action.

I suspect that as in a Rem 700, there is a probable feeding issue also. The WSM is much fatter, and material would likely have to be added to the action rails... probably not a viable option.Unless your talking single shot.

Dont really care if it is single shot or not just wanted to know what I need to do to make those calibers possible from my 300wsm action. So correct me If I am wrong but It sounds like I need to just get a short action bolt and it will fit and work fine cause I cannot downsize my existing bolt face.

Just get a bolt with a smaller face on it...
Why do you think you can not down size the one you have ?
