Tennessee manufacturing plant explosion leaves multiple people dead
An explosion at Accurate Energetic Systems explosives manufacturer in Hickman County, Tennessee, left several people unaccounted for on Friday.
Internet sez McEwen TN is in Humphreys County, different than where the explosion was. Although the two counties adjoin so...Is this Accurate Arms the powder manufacturer? I just so happen to pick up a 8lb. jug of 4065 by Accurate Arms and saw it was made in McEwen, TN.

Even though this isn't the same as Accurate powder. I bet panic buying will still happen just because of the thread's title.![]()

And we're worried about powder availability?
Im a big Ramshot fan. For years my bottles/jugs said made in Belgium but a couple years ago they started saying made in USA on the label. I also noticed the grains looked a bit different also. Contacted Hodgdon and was told Ramshot is Ramshot. Left me wondering just what that meansAccurate Powders (now part of Hodgdon) don't manufacture anything. They buy everything in, test, bottle, market, and distribute it. (Only, all that will be done by Hodgdon in Kansas these days.) Accurate's tubular grades are made by a General Dynamics Inc subsidiary in Valleyfied, Quebec, Canada, and most ball-types come from a different GD subsidiary, St. Marks Powder Co., St. Marks, Florida. The group's Ramshot branded ball powders are imported from P B Clermont in Belgium.
The BBC reports that the company involved manufactures commercial and military explosives.
"The factory, which sat on about 1300 acres of land, produced C-4, TNT and other high-grade military and commercial explosives and stored them there."
