Acceptable group from a BAR?

I'd look around and see if you can find a pound of Reloader 22 or Winchester 760 - or maybe just get several ounces from a friend if they have any. I tried H1000 and Retumbo in my 3 7 Mags as a hopeful improvement and none of those powders die as well in my rifles. Good luck!

H1000 doesn't seem to be extinct around me. It's a great 7mm mag powder option with 160 class bullets

I can't find any RL23/26/33 here but the H1000 is around still for some reason.

I have had a 300 Win Mag BAR since 1996 when I started deer hunting. Never could get it to shoot under 2 inches at 100 with factory loads. Never tried working up loads for it. Instead bought a .257 STW and put the BAR in the closet. Killed my first deer with the BAR so just can’t part with it. Otherwise, it would have been gone.
