AA2495 vs AA4064

Curious if anyone has used both of these in the straight 6BR for the 95-107 gr bullets. It is my understanding both will work, just curious if one powder has a benefit over the other. Temp stability, easier to meter, burn rate/heat, etc.

They are the same powder, made my General Dynamics Canada (As is Lt32, AA2015, etc etc). Different burn rates. About a grain and a half apart.

AA 2495 = 4895
AA 4064 = Varget, R15

They make great powder. Very temp stable and clean.

Whatever.

There are powder lines that are versions of the same formulation. Not a big secret or unknown to people who buy powder.

These two are on Hodgdon’s reloading data for the 6br Norma case. 4064 shows to give a bit more speed.

Yeah saw that, but was curious what other thoughts guys had on them. Doesn’t sound like they are used much.
