A Winslow I've had for Years. Need Info!

Quite some time ago, my wife bought me a .243 Winslow rifle. ,Actually, I bought it with her blessing as my birthday!). I haven't been able to find out that much information about this rifle other than was I have read in old Shooter's Bibles. It is a very comfortable rifle to shoot, and it is accurate as all get-out! It is my go-to gun for Montana antelope hunting and always receive compliments about it.
If anyone has any information of the Winslow rifles, I'd appreciate your sharing this knowledge. It is still a beauty with diamond inlays on the side and the stock style is that very innovative Monte Carlo stock. The checkering is topnotch. The workmanship appears flawless, and the blueing is still perfect. It has a Belgian Mauser action and a 24 inch barrel. Anyone care to pitch in?

Talking from memory here, and a dim memory at best.

Winslow rifles were made in Tucson I believe. I have heard that the guy who did most of the work is now a gunsmith in the Phoenix area. I might be able to find his name for you. Is this the kind of info you are looking for?

Ray, yes that would be great if I could get that kind of information from the actual gunsmith. THanks in advance.

For you and any other others who may have read my post, I mistakenly referred to Winslow rifle as being made in Tucson. My brain wasn't in gear at the time. It was Lawson rifles that were made in Tucson. They were very similar looking to Winslow with the fancy stocks, etc. I felt guilty about this so to help get you back on track I did a little research and found that Winslow rifles were made in Camden SC. The last phone number I could find was 803-432-2938. I hope this helps. Sorry 'bout that.:o

I recently ran across the July 1964 Gun World issue in which they featured Winslow rifles,1 at $700 and one at $2400-1960s prices).
The guns were supposed to be guarenteed to hold 1moa for 100 years.
