A-Tips, lower price

Says they're clearance priced. Are they no longer going to be sold by Midway or what?
After watching MidwayUSA clearance sales for a long time, I believe it is just a computer generated thing that is set up to move merchandise. These deals can be good but you better act fast, because it it can go back to regular prices at any time.

And you need to make sure it's actually a deal , no body actually charges msrp , so saying , our price is $50 and msrp is $150 but it's actually $50 everywhere else isn't really a sale even if the price is in red numbers...

I've checked Ammoseek and individual websites for prices on these bullets, Midway has the best price currently. Most suppliers are at $79.99 with Red River Reloading $4.00 more than Midway and a couple at $10.00 more than Midway.

My guess is that there are a ton of people waiting for these bullets to show up as loaded ammunition. I couldn't find any loaded ammo but I didn't do an exhaustive search either. But loaded ammo will certainly defeat their advertising for their packaging and polishing bag.;) So maybe they'll skip the loaded ammo and continue trying to push name recognition and sponsorships for top shooters using these bullets.:D

My 2¢: Yeah, and you better believe they're using the same ad agency that made Creedmoor the most uttered word in today's shooting world. With the A-Tips, in my neck of the woods, I haven't heard of one shooter trying or using them. I think they made a strategic error in not pricing them competitively with other factory bullets (Berger, Lapua, Sierra) and then if proven better, jacked up the price. Now with the clearance price, it looks like they're trying to backtrack.

Yup. Bad marketing move. Sell’em cheap and get people hooked, then jack the price! Look at cell phones. Now, people line up to pay a grand for one!

Another reason most places go out of business, they get people coming, then start raising the prices. If your prices are a little lower than others your going to get more business. As soon as you start raising them say goodbye.
