A short Arken Scope testimony.

How you like the XTRii compared to the Ep5?
I’ve had XTRII scopes and they are good scopes but not that impressive. Probably overpriced at normal retail in my opinion.

Now the new Burris Signature HD 5-25x50 is an amazing scope and the glass in that little gem is definitely something to write home about considering what you get at that price point

I’ve always liked the Athlon Midas Tac lineup but my son wanted another Ep-5 for his bench gun. Burris is very underrated IMO

Just ordered the Arken Gen2 4-16x50 with 34mm tube and a set of high rings. I opted for 4-16x model because it’s lighter and more compact, but also because budget scopes can usually deliver good glass in the lower power ranges. Hoping it will impress. Total was only $273 on Amazon with discount.

Will be putting it on my AR15 in 6mm ARC. I had a Vortex PST G2 5-25 on my ARC but the windage adjustments quit working so that scope is in for repair. Vortex really sucks anymore. Excited to see what Arken delivers and really hoping they can at least offer better durability than Vortex (which is not a tall order…)

You’ll be pleased with it

Think it was the sh4 i had. Sent it packing after one weekend shooting dogs. Annoying eyebox, terrible image, nice reticle. Replaced with athlon midas tac which is now just a little more money.

Was that the 1st or 2nd gen? 30 or 34mm tube?

I’ve had a couple Athlon Midas scopes. Still have a 4.5-27x50 on my son’s 6.5 Rem Mag. Nice glass, repeatable turrets, and very durable. Good scopes for the money

I tried my first Arken a couple years ago, I was curious more than anything after watching several videos and reviews. Sounded too good to be true. I have 7 of them now and about half of those are on 22s that are dial a target rigs. Parallax and reticles work great, the glass is impressive for the price. Just ordered one of the LPVOs last week, on sale price was just too good not to try.

Last summer myself and three other guys, my brother, brother in law and his son all bought Tikka Roughtechs in 6.5 PRC. All three of them installed the EPL 4-16x44s on their rifles and I decided it would be fun to keep everything uniform and added one for me too. We shot them all summer at ranges of 500+ out to 1440. We didn’t have a problem with any of the four, they all tracked and returned to zero just fine. I would take other rifles out that were wearing Mark5s and Atacrs and didn’t feel handicapped when shooting the Arken. Later in the fall my brother’s daughter, my niece, filled here couses deer tag at 757 yards, one shot, she had been shooting all summer and fall right up to the hunt and was consistently getting the job done. The Arkens did a good job.

I’ve tried the EPL, SH-4 G2, EP-5 and will be trying the LPVO shortly. I like the EPL series for hunting, considerably lighter with their 30mm tubes vs the 34mm offerings. I’d like to try their LH -4 too. I still use NF and Mark5s on most of my hunting rigs but these scopes do a good job.

If your hung up on the made in China thing keep in mind that Arken is owned by Vets, that’s worth something.

^^^^^^^^ I have 6 of them. 4 SH4GEN2 and 2 EP5's. I almost bought a EPL this past sale but held off for now. Hindsight, should have bought it and put it away until it was needed.

Sounds like @RabbitSlayer got a faulty scope. That happens at all price points and was only in regards to a single scope. Have heard of and witnessed faulty NightForce, Leupold, Vortex, and other scopes right out of the box so I still have high hopes for the Arken
I don't think so. Critical eye relief is a common complaint and the image is meh. They put the money into the turrets and reticle. If I wasn't switching back to back with a athlon ares btr gen 2, tract toric, and razor I probably wouldn't be any wiser. The image reminds me of my swfa 12x, mediocre but good at the price.

The midas tac saves money with no illumination. I have never used illumination. It was also more expensive by 200+ bucks but now they are cheap. Maybe they are discontinued im not sure.

I recently picked up the LH 4x16 for control of my bluebird houses. My bluebirds had been attacked by the English sparrows and the sparrows attempted to overtake the boxes. No more problems for my bluebirds. Arken and the 10-22 sided for the bluebirds. Arkens are one of the best buys going.

Yeah but im not trying to compare apples to oranges. I’m a fan of the Trijicon Tenmile scopes, especially the 4.5-30x56, but also like my 4-24x50. For my eyes, Trijicon glass edges out NightForce and Vortex Razor in resolution, brightness, and contrast and they are built tougher than a tank. However, I’m not expecting Trijicon level of glass and performance from a sub $300 Arken scope. Just going on a fun little AR-15 in 6mm ARC so no real requirement for serious glass there. If the Arken proves to be comparable to other scopes in the $500-$600 range, that would be a win in my book :) And if it doesn’t, I pack it up for a return and get something else.

Like I said, I have experience with Athlon Midas scopes and they are good, but haven’t seen the newer Midas Tac model. I’ll check them out and keep it in mind ;)

This is a solid approach in my eyes!

I have an EP5 I picked up 7/2022 that lives on my TAC A1, it's a brick but I have zero complaints.

Apparently I picked up an EPL4 4-16x44 FFP VHR 6/2023 and completely forgot I had it. I need to get that mounted and see how it performs.
I have the Epl4 I love it. Wanting to get the 6-24 next
