A little humor from my doctor today

Just moved to Florida and did not have a Dr, so when I got a real bad ear ache I went into a walk in clinic and they gave me antibiotics. A few days later the ear ache was worse and the side of my face was swollen. On top of this my privet part was itching like crazy and a white cream like substance was coming out of it, next day off to a local DR who will see me. On looking at my ear he asks what I have done about it so far so I tell him about the antibiotics. Then he asks if there are any other problems so I very quietly tell him about my private part so he looks at it and I get a Hmmmm. So then ask him if they are related and he reply's not unless you have been sticking it in your ear. Turns out the antibiotics where messing with my private part. Best Dr I ever had.

I have been having some issues with my shoulder and have been to the doc a few times. Today I have to go in to have the joint injected with Cortisone, nurse cleans and preps area for injection and says doc will be in shortly. A few minuets go by and he comes in and says,... Sorry for keeping you waiting I was watching a youtube video on how to inject shoulders!
Oh the humor in that...
You should reply, "Yeah, I get it. I have been looking at [online.Doctor.com] and have just about figured this out too. Not sure when I will need to see you again." :)

The colour is rust not gold!

As far as steroid shots go they are like magic at times. There is a price though, they can and will often cause joint deterioration with repeated treatment. Usually as mentioned the benefits are lessened each repeat.
Yes the shots were just part of the road trip to my hip replacement!

Getting ready to get a cortisone shot in my elbow the young PA tells me "I'm not very good at this do you want to wait for the doctor?" #%^&. no I think I'll just leave!

My orthopedic doctor's PA gives more cortisone shots than anyone else in the office and the office has about 18 orthopedic surgeons. I have had upwards of 35 cortisone shots in joints ranging from ankle to cervical spine and the PA could really drive the needle better than most he gave a very nice shot in my knee. Don't discount the skill of a PA.

I have had great results from cortisone shots. The number of shots is a function of a lot of different joints that are bad.

On a side note I was talking with someone about brakes on hunting guns. I do not have brakes on any guns I take in the field for hunting, I worry about taking a snap shot and not having hearing protection on. After having three shoulder reconstructions on my recoil shoulder I know that surgeons can fix a lot of damage on shoulders but are pretty limited on their ability to fix damage done to the ears from loud noise. Moral (if that) of the story I would rather risk shoulder damage by not running a brake than hearing damage by using a brake and forgetting ear pro. None of my shoulder surgeries were caused by recoil. Hope I did not sidetrack this thread too bad.

Had a prostate exam years ago and the doc asks me if if I feel anything uncomfortable. I told him yea just the discomfort of a finger where it shouldn’t be. Then he starts laughing still with his finger there. Yea don’t do that..

Was in getting my annual checkup a few years ago and the lady doctor (attractive) asks if I had a colonoscopy. I replied last year, she replies "Good, I will not have to put my finger up your butt and play with your poop then." I think I just stood there shocked for a moment.
