A Jagged Hole!

I took the time this past week to pillar bed my old 30/06 target rifle and I think it's going to be OK going off of these first 5 shots out of the barrel. I don't put much stock in shooting at 100 yards but being as how I had this dude out of the stock and a fresh rework I figured it would be best to shoot from 100. The shots encircled were from a prior rifle I shot a while back and I'm out of pasters. Load is 190 gr. Sierra HPBT ahead of 53.6 grs. H4350 with a Russian primer. Bullets jammed into lands about .010". I'm satisfied.

Doesn't look like much room for "tuning" on that load.

I sure do like Russian Primers. I'm having a harder time justifying the extra cost of BR-2's for my .308 when I get similar performance from the Russians.
