David, this might be more up your alley! Machining radial brakes with the holes angled forward 7 deg. to be a little quieter.

You don't own anything with nice wood or high gloss bluing?

Out of all the firearms that I own, 2 have nice finishes, it makes them nice to look at and a PITA to use and own. I bought a Belgium made Browning High Power years ago, I kept it for a while and sold it to a fellow who would treat it like his virgin daughter.

My firearms are tools, their beauty is in perfect function for their intended purposes. There nothing better than a firearm, (rifle, handgun or shotgun) that naturally comes to point and functions anywhere, anytime, everytime.

I think my appreciation for beauty (art?) has been influenced by 50 years with architectural graphic and signage as part of business. I developed such a distain for many of my clients and their attitudes, I really didn't need their money and it became a game of how much I could get away with charging them for the object of the least value. I once sold 3 pieces of 36" x 96" flashing material for roofing for $16,000 because it looked beautiful. Ok!

I didn't know you could drill with a ball end mill!

Ice kept me home from work today, and i still learned something.

End mills make the best drill bits. You do have to make sure you get a center cutting one if its flat though.

Alas, we mostly use endmills for, well milling. Lol
Work has a ton of money tied up on drill bodies & carbide inserts!
