a 25yd zero???

Since a bullet's flight path is pretty much parabolic, it's been a general rule of thumb that sighting in at 25 yards will get you to the same or nearly same POI as sighting in at 100 yards. If you expect most of the shooting to be done at short range why not sight in for that?
As I noted above, it depends on the scope height. If your scope is 2" above the bore you are 4½ inches high at 100 yards and 6" high at 175. If you can live with that. If your scope is 1½ inches above the bore that changes things, a lot, you are about 3 inches high from 100 to 175 yds.

The concept is the same as the battle sight zero on an M16/AR-15. There is a whole host of discussion on the interwebs as to whether 25m (USArmy), 36y(USMC) or 50y(other) is the better choice. The point being that with a short range zero you can score hits inside of a 10" target to 300 yds holding center, just depends on your required or expected level of precision.
