Don't know how many member here are in or near SE Wisconsin but the outdoor range that I have been working at as an RO Has been under reconstruction since July. This project was to have been started last Dec and finished already but we all know how that goes when dealing with Gov. agency's.
What has been going on is that they have torn down and replaced two range shooting shelters and leveled the range to eliminate areas of standing water after heavy rains. They have also removed the old sound baffles going down the range. So the range at 25yds and the range at 100yds both now have brand new shooting shelters with full concrete floors, sound deadening panels on the ceilings and walls, new lights and intercom and supposedly there are going to be pit toilets in each house. They have also added paved paths to the target stands to make them handicapped accessible. New benches and seats are to be delivered this week with an Grand Reopening Sat. 10/19/24
For Phase 2 in the works are to relocate the trap range, add a Skeet range and add a public 1000yd range.
