9mm hand gun for Concealed Carry?

Conceal carry is different for every single person out there. If you are 5' something a Ruger LCP II or ECP's may work as well many other 9's that size, if your 6' something there are plenty of others as well. There are times that i carry a LCP II with 100gr ammo loaded a little warm, it doesn't print but makes a much larger hole than some people think.
The key to the whole thing is finding one you will actually carry and practice with. Many people have met their end from a simple .38 as well.

I've tried a good many guns. I'm big, and my hands are big. I tried a 2" J frame 38 Special revolver, but it took a LOT of practice at ranges longer than face to face. I tried an aluminum framed 3" 1911 45acp, but it is handicapped at 7 rounds fully loaded. I tried an aluminum framed CCW Sig with 4" barrel and a 6 round frame, but I installed an X-grip that allowed the use of an 8 round magazine. That one is getting close to perfect. I tried the Sig P938 9mm, again handicapped with a capacity of 8 with an extended magazine - hard to shoot with big hands because it's small and without a LOT of practice you push each shot off target. Full size 1911, steel frame 45 acp - I'd rather have it at a time of trouble more than anything else. For now, I have settled on a Sig P365 XL 9mm - it is big enough to shoot good, light enough and small enough to be an easy carry. It comes with features Glock doesn't offer.
If you are patient, PSA is coming out with a Glock 19 sized pistol for $299. It also has features Glock doesn't offer like iron sights. It is called the Dagger.
Bluealtered above is right. It is whatever you arrive at that suits your needs. Carrying a mid to full sized pistol in warm weather takes dedication.
I also have a friend who graduated college with a classmate who went on to be a doctor and work in the trauma unit at a hospital in a busy city. The Dr. noted that most hit with .380/9mm and below in power usually could be treated and healed well with no complications. But he said if it was a .45 with the proper ammunition - the patient arrived dead or had his life drastically altered for the rest of his life.

When i pocket carry in the summer, it is a Kahr CM9 in a pocket holster. When i carry IWB the other 8 months of the year, it's a G26 in a kydex holster. The G26 is hard to beat - carries up to 12 with a mag extension (10 with a normal mag) and shoots great. Goes bang every time.

Right now it may not matter what you want. I is more like what can I find in stock, and do they have ammo for it. Good luck, there are a lot of sold out guns out there.
I second this choice, you can get it with either a 4" or a 3.6" barrel and it holds 15 rounds. The grip angle and the controls are very similar to those of a 1911 also.

I'm a 1911 fan but I picked up a Kahr cw9 for $185 soooooo..... Kahr I carry.
S&W 9mm Shield, I carry it behind my fat roll in the kidney area , it hides really well , easily accessible , doesn't print, a long tailed tee shirt covers everything. I don't feel disadvantaged with it. It shoots great and has never failed me. I can handle any squirrel that wants to start trouble! And with a spare mag ,I figure any thug will be in the same shape as the squirrel .

Thank you guys for all the replies, I appreciate it. I have carried a Glock 21, Glock 30 and a full size 1911 ISW. Just looking for something lighter. I live in NY so I am restricted on magazine capacity. Also I was gifted 1000 9mm 124 gr JHP and I figured this is a good excuse to buy a 9mm.
