9.3x62

I have one built on a savage 110 action with pacnor 24” barrel. I shoot barnes 250 tsx and it is naturally accurate. I had a hard time making it shoot bad. It will take anything on this continent. One thing i did to increase working pressure, i used trimmed 370 sako magnum brass which works at higher pressures Than the 9.2. This gave the 9.3 a bit of a boost

I shoot both 9.3x62 and x74. Thought you guys might like to see a 320gr Woodleigh 9.3 that went through and lodged just under the off side skin of a cape buff I shot back in 09’. It retained 314gr. This was out of my 9.3x74 Merkel double going 2014 fps. The 9.3’s perform extremely well!

I guess I take exception to the use of 7x57, 280, 06, etc as working on NA dangerous game...bears. I'm sure in the right hands, close up with a cool shooter they do. But, I would never take the chance with those calibers....way too much to loose if things don't go right.

When I was a wee lad many years ago (70's) I read an article in a magazine like Sports Afield on boar hunting in Europe. They were using a 9.3x62 and RWS TUG bullets.
I got the rifle, now I have the ammunition, when I go hunting in Texas in November if a hog cooperates the dream will be fulfilled.
I have shot hogs there but it wasn’t with 9.3 TUG's
