87gr vld 6mm bullets

Just wondering if any you guys have used this bullet on deer size game. Myself have some loaded for 6rem but after this morning I shot two crows theses bullets blowed up just like bal tips.Anybody else had any issues.These bullet shoots one hole groups at 3100fps but did not shoot through a crow.

Maybe you hit a wing bone going in? ;D I Gave up on 277 cal Bergers for hunting when I knocked a deer down at 375 yards and after a few minutes it got up and ran off with absolutely no blood trail at all except where it laid. One animal is not really a good comparison but I will stick to my Accubonds in the future.

Think about it, Berger says vld bullets penetrates 3inchs and then they began to expand ,Theses never went no more than 1\2 and blew to pcs no bone was hit.The feathers on the birds back was never damaged.Im a berger shooting guy had good luck past 500yds I dont understand this.

The hole was the size of my fist the meat on the lower breast bone was still intact so did it blow up or not. 40gr bergers out of 221 fireball blow slap through crows at 160yds.We just cant get over these bullets 85gr sierras will shoot through them they hammer deer to I just tried these for a new deer load think Ill stick with the 85grs.
