87 gr VMAX thru 8 twist 6MM?

Hey gang,
Does anyone have any experience running the 87 gr VMAX thru an 8 twist .243 Win? I'm putting a McGowen on my BVSS this week and I have over 100 of the VMAX sittin here . . . worth loading in an 8 twist?
Any suggestions regarding bullet & powder choice through a .243 Win, 26 inch, 1:8 twist barrel are welcome . . . it's for my prairie dog rig.

Shot a bunch out of a 243 AI this weekend. I used 43.5 gr of RL17 to fire form. These chronied at 3450fps through a 8 twist six groove Shilen. Start lower and work up. They shot on par with the 105 amaxes in the wind but with an extra bit of explosiveness.

I can’t help with the 87 gr VMAX thru an 8 twist .243 Win, but they work great in my 8 twist 6mm XC at about the same velocity. They shoot very well for me. They don’t have the splat factor of the 75’s but they hold wind better.

If you are concerned with getting the max velocity you can RL17 is the best choice, you should be able to hit 3400+ with ease.

For me (6XC) the 87 vmax doesn't shoot as well as Berger 80 or 88 but they do splat better at mid and longer ranges. Well unless you hit them juuuuuust right, then those 88's will send those things flying at longer ranges.
