85 Year Old Dad Earns High Master F-Class Mid-Range

Had to share. This past weekend, my dad earned his High Master classification after shooting two matches. He did not think he could do it. I am glad F-Class competition was created in order to allow us to still shoot together in competition and I am very proud he overcame his doubts to accomplish the classification. I decided to have a second bolt fitted to my action and have a barrel chambered in 6BRA to allow him to handle recoil. Seemed the least I could do for the man who taught me to shoot and become an avid target shooter 50 years ago.

Congratulations to your dad and you for achieving this goal. Very similar situation as I helped my father a long time shooter and plinker get into USPSA shooting when he was mid 60 and was able watch him enjoy it until his departure at 83. These are things never to be forgotten so cherish the moments.

My son and daughter in law, grand daughter, and four grandsons
shoot f class chamption with me. They are a alot of help and enjoyment.

There is nothing better than doing things as a family.
