8208 and 40 vmax in 204

I was fortunate enough to trade a member some powder and got myself some 8208 now.
I want o some load work ups with 40 vmax in my cz varmint in 204
Trying not to burn through lots of supplies wondered if anyone has had luck with the combo?
I have a good load with cfe223 win brass and 205m primers but been trying to get some 8208 for almost two years and finally did

That's what I shoot in my 527 204. likes the 32gr vmax too.

8208 does very well in many 204 Rugers.

26.8gr 8208 for my rifle. Very accurate. My buddy shot some in his rifle with equally good results.

If your barrel is a 12 twist, it may not "like" the 40's no matter the powder.

Yeah I did read lot of 1/12 barrels didn’t like 40s but really hoping mine shoots them as good as my buddies.
I have half a box of sbk left but those will get loaded and have plenty of 40s for now.
39 sbk have not been around for a while and don’t expect to see any in near future
I will probably have barrel replaced by pac nor in future but for now this will have to do

Remember, SG calculations are just guidelines but you are pretty safe above 1.5

40 AMAX and 8208 are great in both my 204's

My 20 Practical is close, and it likes 8208 25 grains with 40 VMax, very accurate, 3633 fps.

I just put together a lightweight AR in 204 with a 20”proof carbon fiber.
I have one unopened can of 8208 and I’ve never used that powder or loaded a 204 round.
I’ll probably start messing with it this week.

I bought an 8lb jug of 8208 to replace vv-133 when things started getting stupid(read Biden era)for use in my 6ppc and was very impressed with how well it shot.Been using Benchmark in the .204 X-R100 and would like to try some 8208 as well.Ground hog season is upon us and I’d like to get as much speed and accuracy as I can,one or the other should do the job.

I use Bmark with 39's, but since those are now extinct, I'll have use more 32's and CFE in my 204R.

8208 is a Great powder w/40 v-max, 3700-3800 fps out of 26" barrels

You can order 39’s from Sierra. A friend of mine talked to them on the phone today. The guy said they were making 39’s first and will make 32’s later. He said they are taking orders. Hope this is legit.

I also saw that on Facebook,so it must be true
A few guys are pissed because it took Sierra so long to produce the 39s, these certainly are trying times to source components.Glad they are making them again, the 39 sure is a good bullet.
