80 gr SMK

What has happened to the 80 gr SMK ? I can find plenty of the 77 gr SMK but no 80 gr.

Sierra seems to be making bullets that the military buys; 77s, 168s, 210s

There out there. I’m slowly finding them and buying as I do find them. But I agree the 77’s seem to be easier to find.

Recently, someone posted a link here to a "public service announcement" from Sierra regarding their bullet manufacturing. I wish I had bookmarked it, but I did not. Sierra provided a list of bullets they are currently manufacturing due to the high demand and shortages. The list was not that long. They indicated that any bullet not on the list wouldn't be in production again until sometime in 2022. I don't know whether the 80 SMK was on the list or not, as the list I saw only gave the catalog numbers, not the bullet names or descriptions. If you can find that list/post, the information might be of benefit as far as planning ahead or how long the wait might be to get some of the 80 SMKs.
