8 x 32 NSX NF

i'm thinking about putting this scope on my 6x 47 lapua is this power enough for 1000 yard completion? my eyes are still pretty good .

What kind of competition? Steel and tactical, yes. F class, barely but more would be better. Benchrest you’ll want more. Shooting rocks in the desert with your buddies, perfect, LOL
 
32X isn't enough to readily hold particular rings at 1000. Glass quality does factor into this to some extent.

well probably bench so i do have a 12 x 42 nsx so probably go with that for a 1000 yd & use the 8x 32 for 600

Hard to shoot what you can’t see. I would go higher myself. Of course with a variable, you can crank the power down if the mirage and conditions warrant. Don’t regret my 15 x 55 scopes at all. Your reticle choice also comes into play depending on what you’re wanting to shoot.

i guess more power is good glass is a big deal also but guess im not ready to shell out that extra money at this time for the 15 x 55
 
I have a NXS 8x32. It is on a custom 30/06 I built sometime back.

It‘s a massive thing, with as good of glass as anything else I have. 1/4 inch clicks.
