7mm TCU load data

I have a 7mm TCU Encore (15" barrel) that I am loading for. I have 139gr BT, 150gr BTSP, and 160gr BTSP bullets in my cabinet. I would like to use the powders I already have on hand (IMR 4198, IMR 3031, H4350, and IMR 4895). Anyone have any recommended loads for any of these combos?

I've looked on the WWW and found a number of loads for 7mm TCU but most are either using the lighter bullets or powders I don't currently have. I'm not looking for the fastest velocity, just a good, solid load for target shooting. If you aren't comfortable publishing your load data on the board, feel free to PM me.

Thanks in advance.

I have a 14" Contender and use H335 for the 140's and H4895 for the 150's & 160's. 2460 is another good powder for those weight of bullets but H335 & H4895 are so common and work well for me for other cartridge loading that I always have those 2 on hand.

H-4350 is too slow for 139/140 grain bullets, and IMR-3031 & IMR-4895 are compressed loads at Max charge weights.

Once again H-4350 is a bit too slow burning for this application to take advantage of a full burn.
Anything above 107% case fill is a compressed load.

Good luck, be safe and Have fun !

When I was shooting IHMSA, I used 160 gr Sierras, 28.4 gr of 748. This was under the 2000fps limit in those days without AR500 steel for the targets.

An old Hornady book shows for 7 TCU:

139 gr, IMR 3031, 24.3 gr ( 1600fps), to 27.5 gr (1900)max
IMR 4895. 25.3 (1600) to 29.2 (1950)max

154 gr, IMR 3031, 22.9 (1500) to 26.0 (1800) max
IMR 4895, 24.0 (1500) to 28.3 (1850) max
Win 748, 24.8 (1500) to 29.4 (1800) max

Thank you, all. That gives me a bunch to work with and start from. I usually keep Win 748 on hand as well, but am currently out.

Back in the IHMSA days, I started with Win. 748, but switched to Accurate 2460 with 139, 140 and 150 gr bullets in my 10" Contender barrel. Another option to consider.
