7mm saum load

Has anybody tested the 7mm saum with N555 and 195gr elite hunters.
An f class load for a 30 inch barrel..
Currently using 59.5grs of N165 and wondered if the N555 would give extra velocity.

62.5gr of N560 works well in mine. Half moa or better at 2943fps with Berger 180s.

I’d look into N565 or R26 if your wanting more speed but in reality 2800ish isn’t bad.

My normal 190/R26 load with 195’s got me 2830 with a 28”, step on it a bit and I’m confident 2850 is doable without pressure issues.

I normally run 190’s at 2880’s.

No.
It’s excellent.

That’s a good speed for 180’s and N165 is a pretty friendly powder.

I haven’t tried 555 or the 195. I did testing today with 560 and 565 behind 180 Scenar. Both powders shot best in the 2925-2930 range with this bullet. 59.7 with N560 and 62.6 with N565 in a 31.5” barrel. I had both powders up to 2990 without pressure issues, but not accurate enough.
