7mm RSAUM

I have a Remington 700 saum im wanting to rebarrel.I was wondering if anyone could tell me a round about figure on how much it would cost to do just that? I would like to put a 30" barrel a muzzle brake and true the action!Also looking for a good gunsmith between Dallas,Texas and Shreveport,Louisiana?

Obviously, these numbers could vary wildley, depending on the smith.

New tube, $300.00
Chamber job, $200.00
Thread and install break, $150.00
Tru up action, $200.00
Piller bed stock, $200.00
Trigger work, $50 - 100.00


Also, maybe some parts......recoil lug, bolt handle or bolt, trigger, .....

Trust me....It's all worth it. Don't know why, but them little bug holes seem to make it all worh while!!!

I don't know of any rifle smiths around the Tyler area, although there could be some.

I found Mike Bryant on there. I couldn't recommend his work enough. Think artwork that shoots. His prices are on his website and he is just a great person to work with.

I'm shooting a 7mm RSAUM with a 30" tube, no brake, and love it. If you want to go long, set it up for 180's and you won't be disappointed. Good luck.
