7MM 180 VLD Issue

Old Navy

I have been testing Berger 7mm 180s Hybrids with good results. Open a box of Berger 180 VLDs to build some loads to see how they compare. I noticed the force needed to seat the bullets was considerable more. When I got home a tried to push a bullet into the neck of a twice fired case. It refused to go in. I measured several bullets at the junction of the bearing surface and boat tail. I got .2845" . The Hybrids and some 162 ELDMs are right on .284. I measured a few 6mm 115 VLDs and they were right at .243". It this normal?

I just measured some of mine- .2844”. My hybrids mic out about the same. I haven’t shot the VLDs yet but fat bullets have shot well in the past for me.
