77 gr Sierra Tipped Matchking 22 caliber bullets? Good Bad?

The 77 TMK shoot extremely well out of a 22" bull barrel WOA AR and are mag length friendly. Even the loaded Black Hills 77gr TMK red box ammo shoots extremely well and it is pretty fast at around 2875 fps (labradar). In contrast, I picked up a couple of boxes of the 70gr RDFs right when they were initially released and couldn't get them to group well at all, so I gave away the remaining 150 or so bullets.

Clancy, what did you have to do to tune the RDF?

I believe I have it tuned in a 223 AR, but that just consisted of seating it to mag length & finding the correct powder.

In order to get them to shoot 1/4” consistently, I had to break seating depth down to .003 at a time. Powder was pretty much a non issue. They shot “well” from the get go with both Varget and H4350.

Good or Bad?
I find (shot them all summer at 300 yds.) that they are length tolerant and I jump them only .010 in my Tikka 8 twist HV .223. They can go fast if you have a good powder to propel them, I like Varget un crushed. Worth trying different primers. Overall I am very satisfied with the five boxes I bought and will be shooting them next season. Lately I am managing to get 3 out of five touching at 300, then lose a couple to the nine ring, invariably. I think that they are better than the 77 hpbt MK Sierra's in my rifle.
