73gn vs 75gn ELDM

I’ve been told that the Hornady 73gn eldm is designed for a shorter cartridge OAL so that it fits in a standard length magazine and the 75gn eldm requires a longer mag .
Can anyone confirm or deny this ?
Trying to work out if these will work and cycle through my magazine in my Howa 1500 SA 1-8 twist .223

Yes but at a reduced ballistic coefficient

Hmmm. JBM shows the 75eldm a 1.6 stability factor at 2800 fps in a 1:8 at 400 ft elevation.
But, to fit in a 223The 75 eldm would need be seated ~ 2.390 => the end of the bearing surface would be below the case mouth.
The 73 gr is designed to work normally in a 2.260 223 mag.
