700 trigger

Have you looked on Brownell's or Sinclair's webpages ?

Dunno if they have them but Brownell would be the first place I'd look .

On a side not I just had the triggers done on a circa 1975 or so 700BDL Varmint and have that one at a consistent creep free 10 ounces (original factory trigger) . And also did the original factory trigger on my grnadfathers old circa 1958 Remington 722 and have that one at 10 ounces also creep free .

While I'm not trying to talk you out of a Jewell , I've developed a new found respect for the old 700 triggers provided I'm not trying to get them below 8 ounces .

I have a 700 bdl with x trigger went to the range to break in the barrel and I have a garand with a better trigger. It check out at 7 lbs and after i adjusted it was 4lbs 12 oz. I looked on brownell and can't decide what trigger to get. Don't want to get one to light. I plan on changing the barrel to a pac nor 6br. What is the best weight to get for a f class rifle? Thanks Perk

When I had my 300 WSM BAT repeater built (uses any 700 Rem compatible trigger), I simply Googled Jewell to get contact info, phoned them, talked to Brian, and a few days later had my 700 Remington replacement trigger with bottom safety in hand for under $200 including shipping, factory adjusted to 22 oz. per my request. The package also included two other springs, and instructions on how to install either of them in place of the original, so that you an have pretty much any pull weight you want between 2oz. and 5 lbs. as well as cleaning and maintenance instructions. Given my desire for the bottom safety, that seemed like the easiest way to do it, and it works fine if the above listed sources don't pan out for exactly what you want.

To each his own . On my Marlin levers I'm prettyt much stuck with what I got trigger wise .
With my Ruger #1's it's kinda the same thing unless I wanna drop about $300 in a Keplinger trigger .

But for the 700's and Model 7's I own , typically I've been able to get the triggers where I want them but I don't have recent manufactured ones either !

My hunting rifles are all about 2 - 2 1/4 pounds . Bench guns or varmint guns are now all in the 10-12 ounce range .

I have a couple friends that have older Stoner built 700 bench guns that will shoot nothing more then a 4 ounce trigger .

At brownells the trigger i wanted was out of stock except for a bottom safety. Still looking. Thanks Perk

Hey Perk, I don't know if your set on a jewell but I use shilen in all of my 700's and I love them. Sure, their not a jewell but they are very good triggers and half the cost and I've never had a problem in the 15 yrs i've been using them.
