700 Bolt Lugs

Should the bolt lugs have any chamfer on them so as to ease into the seats? Just break the edge or should they be square?

No, bolt just seems harder to shut. There is a very slight chamfer on the leading edges so I won't fool with that. Probably just the spring, but wanted to rule out what I could. Thanks.

Nope, not altering anything that can't be realtered.........it's good enough for what I'm going to do with it. Just trying to learn. Thanks.

From studying this a bit more, I believe it is poor timing. How is this fixed? Way past my home gunsmithing skills. 100% sure that this action was futzed with before I got it.

This is an extraction timing issue, I believe.

What is the optimal distance between the bolt and the receiver at the point where the measurement is requested? Is there a hard number range?

.0xx is ok but .0yy is too much?

you went from bolt closing isssue to extraction ....like saying my car isn't accelerating properly so I'm going to work on the brake.

Closing isn't the only issue. Maybe I should have been clearer with that.

Do you know the answer to my question?

Thanks.
