700 bolt bush for small firing pin

Thanks for the pics, they really do a nice job (Gre-tan).

It appears your bolt face has been turned, did Gre-tan do this when they bushed the bolt? Turning the bolt face would change your head space.
He only turns the center where he adds in a new piece, will not affect the head space.

That,s curable {piercing primers} Just use primers with a heavier cup like CCI or Remington even wolf mag primers.
There are others too . If you still pierce them the loads are way way to hot

I've pierced primers on mild 6mmBR loads with my model 70. Did go to harder primers, but have not pushed it very hard.
At some point I intend to have the bolt bushed.
FWIW Federal AR match primers seem to work well.

I don't know butch .
One thing is for sure bushing the bolt is great idea. But to get by the harder cups help a lot. Instead of piercing the crater.
Ive seen this a lot on my Remingtons. I wonder at times is hot loads are the answer.
Just the way it is I guess with certain actions.
Now we are very lucky to have Kiff that make those replacement bolts with the small firing pin holes and new pin assemblies.
I like the ideas he has especially the one piece bolts. with the intergal bolt handle
