700 action

i want to use my 700 long magnum actiom and a #5 or 6 barrle contour in 300 weatherby magnum.now i found bedding blocks that will work in putting in a stock i have.my question is when its bolted to the block and into the stock does the block make the action more rigit so to speak .also if i place a mount on the top of saind action and with the action sitting on said block and this mount is a 1pice afair will it also help stiffin the action.i want to be abler to feed through the blind magizine on this action also

While these things may effectively stiffen the action, I'm becoming more convinced that, outside of the BR/F-class/PRS arena, it doesn't make a lot of difference. I've seen too many really good shooting Kimbers and A-bolts, neither of which are especially rigid. WH
