+1, Russ. I thought they were shooting 7RSAUMs for LR.Rtheurer said:jonbearman said:How does a 7mmwsm run with the larger cartridge's just out of curiosity.I would think that it would shoot well in long range shooting.Always been curious as to why such a hammer if something else would do it with less punishment.I know a brake will calm it down but wouldnt the wsm brass be more consistent with the design currently available. The AMU does well with the old stand by 300 win mag.
The AMU uses the 300 Win Mag??? When did that happen?

On top of that you have to step all over the brass to acheive the velocity of the larger capacity cases. In the process of building my new long range 7mm on the 404 Jefferies case. No belt, long neck, and great Norma brass!
Quote I use Norma brass for my Short Mags. The WSM short mags were designed off the 404 Jefferies case. They have great accuracy and velocity. In benchrest at a 1000 when you go over 3000 accuracy starts to fail. The 7LRM is made from a 375 Ruger case. The accuracy and velocity they are getting is really good.

I don't really care for 100 grains of powder and bullets I can't find lol. I'm about out of 162 amax so now gonna be working on the 162 bthp. like I said my .02 I do really have a itch for a STW though
[/quote I didn't see anywhere where it said a 100 grains of powder. The case I believe is same size capacity but is shorter in length overall. I believe I read on another forum where they were shooting it faster than a 7STW.
