6XC w/ 107 SMK's

I recently started shooting a 6XC and it is a very accurate cartridge. Typically, I shoot Berger 105's, but tested some 107 MK's, they shot incredibly well. My point or question is why do we not see many 6XC shooters using the 107 MK? There must be something to that bullet cause they are tough to find. Just wondering.

Look back through the archives and you'll find plenty of records set with them in many disciplines. If funny you always see tons of threads about hybrids and vld's from their competitor and all the latest bullets but not many about 107SMK's . Apparently we just quietly keep using them...

Ackleyman and swd, my point exactly. No one says much about the 107 being used, I see mostly 105 Hybrids, etc. But, when you can't find quantities of 107's that tells me something else. The reason too that I am interested in them. The 100 I had shot like a house on fire.

Three years ago I set a National Record at 500 yds using 107 SMK's in F Open. Nothing wrong with them. Don't get caught up in the "newest, better, faster, everyone else is using" syndrome

Ask dbduff if I like 107 smks in my 6XC...I suggested to him what worked in mine and he reported back with really good results as well.
I managed to take home little over $700 last year with 6xc running 107smk's in 3 matches. Yea i like them, just sort thru them base to ogive and separate your findings.

I shoot them. I was all set to try Bergers, but I have a hard time believing they would be an improvement over the 107 SMK.
