6XC excessive neck clearance question

Hi All.
I am having a Brux 6mm barrel chambered in 6XC soon and will be using Peterson brass.
I have a choice of 2 reamers. One being David Tubbs he sells in his website which has a neck diameter of 0.278 and he says his neck clearance is 0.004".
As a benchrest shooter that seems excessive but does anyone have a 4 thou clearance and does it perform without problems?
The other reamer is a 0.270 neck and I will have a tight neck of 0.0015/0.002 which my 6BRA has without issue.
Thanks

I’d much rather have .004 than .001/2
I absolutely won’t shoot with less than .003.
Hi Clancy. Thanks. I presume that there's no problem with the longevity of your brass necks? Plus I guess if it's good enough for David Tubbs then it's ok for us mere mortals! But I just wanted to find out any pitfalls in using his .278 neck reamer.

If ordering a reamer, I'd go with .273nk. A .277 seems excessive. But that's what a SAAMI .243 is. If you don't have brass, order it and measure a loaded round.

I built a couple 6XC rifles when they were all the rage. I went with a no-turn chamber. I don't remember the specs but both rifles shoot lights out to this day. They have transitioned from OTC rifles to prairie dog rifles and I am still happy with them

I personally hate turning necks, so if i can order an off the shelf reamer that has a bit much but not extreme neck tollerance im going to use it.

I have 2 6XC rifles and purchased DT's 0.160" Manson reamer. I have no issue with his clearances.

BTW, its the best all around 6mm ive shot and Norma is supposed to start producing factory 6XC ammo for distribution in the next year.
