What if any is the sweet spot for velocity for the 6x47L I am doing some load work and i am showing velocity around 3030 with 108 bergers. No pressure signs. Should i go a little more. the accuracy isnt were i think it needs to be yet. using H4350. Krieger 7.5 twist.

On my 6X47L with an 8 twist Rock Creek my sweet spot is between 3050 and 3065. I can get well over 3100fps. but accuracy is not as good. Each barrel is different however but I believe you can go up more with no problem. Oh yeah I'm using H-4350 also. 39.5 with a .020 jam.

Shooters are telling us there are typically two accuracy nodes with the 105-108gr bullets:

3030-3060 fps

3140-3160 fps

In our 6-6.5x47 test rifle, with 30' Bartlein barrel) the higher node was the most accurate, and Reloder 17, thus far, is slightly more accurate than H4350. But both powders, RL17 and H4350 are excellent choice for this cartridge.

105gr Berger VLD just touching running right at 3050fps with 38.5gr H4350 and 3100fps with 39gr. RL17. Douglas 27', 8 twist barrel. Both very accurate but would give the edge to the RL17. TB

Most shooters I have discussed it with tell me between 3020-3070 fps. with 107's and 108's. My 8' twist Douglas preferred about 3050 with 107SMK's. I have a Brux 8' that loves 108 Bergers jammed .015' with 37.7 of H4350. It runs about 3030-3040 fps.
