I made the mistake of finishing up my 6x47 Lapua project today. Had planned to sell everything off. Now I don't want to. Only need to free float the tang a little more and take down one high spot under the barrel just forward of the recoil lug. Set the Rifle Basix trigger to a tad under 8oz with NO takeup, creep or over travel. Can't get it to slam fire, so I'll bring it down to 4-6oz when I have a little more time. I'll probably sand down the stock and reshoot it with a nice metallic automotive finish, since it has a few chips on it. I like the blue, so I'll stay with something similar. Ordered a PTG Spiral Fluted Bolt Body and have it coming overnight. I like how they tend to be a little tighter than the stock bolt bodies. Should dress it up a bit as well. Now I need to decide if I want to polish it or bead blast everything to match.
Came out just over 21lb. Works for me because I really just shoot informally against my bother and shooting buddies. I wasn't worried about making light gun class. Will work well for some long distance PDogs if I can make it out to SD this year.
