6x47L load data 30 in tube ❓

I'm looking for load data on this setup for a 6x47 L. I'll be running a 30-in Krieger 7.5 twist. I'm thinking about running the 115 Dtac. But any in all information would be greatly appreciated.

Not sure about the 115s but the 110 aTip is 40.6 with reloader 16 with 450 primes and 8 twist not a 7.5 twist! I will have to look in my book tomorrow! I am guessing about 40.0 with reloader 16 and the 115 DTAC! Maybe 39.5 with H4350!

Some 15-20 years back I could push the 115s 3250 fps with reloader 17 in 8 twist 30” like I said tomorrow morning I will look in my book! Been shooting this case about 20 years and if I remember H4350 and 115 DTACs the sweet spot was 2975 with 8 twist and 30” barrel!

Cut 1/8in off your barrel and re-chamber 6GT.

No necking down, excellent quality Alpha brass
Factory ammo available
20% less powder and recoil for same velocity
20%longer barrel life

Exactly what I'm doing with mine.

Death of the x47 began with Creedmoor and will end with GT. x47 is a moribund cartridge and brass will become increasingly scarce over time, as GT becomes increasingly available. I expect x47 to eventually meet the same fate as 22-250 in Lapua's production line.

I am looking for information on the 47 not the GT.

In that case:

Scroll down, articles are listed alphabetically:

"Beginski's 6mm-6.5x47Lapua" (Guns of the week #73)

There is an embedded load chart for 30in bbl

The chart is for 105-107gr bullets, but you can probably extrapolate by reducing STARTING load by about 2gr. Velocity will be about 200fps less.

105 Berger’s out of a 30 inch bartlein 39.3 gr of h4350. 115 dtacs 39.2 gr of h4350 both shoot great
Same.....I run a 30 inch Kreiger....39.0 H4350, 105/108 Bergers. CCI450. 3100ish and a mild load. On my 2nd BBL. Cut the first one down to 16.5 inches for suppressor use. Lost a boatload of speed, though....down around 2730 with the same load.

A1-8 twist 30” with cci450s a fire forming load of 39.1 H4350 2.083 depth should get about 3164 fps! At depth of 2.104 (hard jam) with 40.5gr H4350 should get you about 3187 fps! When you hit the sweet spot (3shot group) you should be about .450-750” at 600yds! All testing done at 3331ft elevation! Loads get finicky if you don’t use cci450s depth used stony point off ojive!

If you want good accuracy with the 115 D-Tac's and speed, N-550 is the ticket. Max is somewhere around
38 gr and 3,000 fps from 30" boom stick.

N-160 is a bit bulky and you would need to compress it to reach 2,900-2,950 fps, 40 gr is about max.

That is all with 2.800" COAL.

I have the Hornady Ogive tool and Two 30cal Hornady comparators that read not the same. So I never take other folks Ogive measurements because the comparator holes can vary a bit.

If I give someone my To Ogive measurements I make sure I give them an idea of bullet COAL and base to ogive measurements as well.
Even if 2 comparator inserts are identical, bullet lots vary as well.

Unless the chambers are cut with the same reamer coal is all irelavant.

My loaded round is .008" into the lands, and I found 42.3 grains of H4831 to be my sweet spot. 3157 fps and .2 moa, and less than 10 fps ES.

39.5 grains of H4350 gave similar results but over 20 fps ES,

Excellent info gentleman. Hopefully I will have her together here in the near future and start playing with her.

What bullet were you shooting

Consistent with two recommendations above, my 30" Bartlein with 105 Hybrids liked 39grs of H4350. Vel was 3080 from memory.
