Loads for N560 with 6XC or 6.5CM

I am looking for load data for the 6XC using the 115 DTAC. Closest thing I found was data for the 110SMK.
I also wanted to try N560 in the 6.5CM using the 150SMK. Any help would be appreciated.

I suggest that you need to a closer search for more data.

David Tubb is the creator of the 6XC and he has lots of words published about the 6XC, 115DTAC and H-4350. In fact the accuracy website for PRS shooters substantiates those facts.

I like to swim against the current and avoid powders such as Varget and H4350 just because so many ascribe to using those powders only.

While I initially used the 115 DTAC on David's recommendation, I have switch to Hornady 110 A-tips. Although more expensive, I like my results a little better.

I may have made the question confusing by putting it in the title. I am looking specifically for load data for the N560 with the 115 DTAC. I have several good loads for the 115 but given the price/future availability of those powders I was looking for an alternative. I bought the N560 for another barrel chambered in 6.5CM and one for the 300WM but figure it would work well for this bullet in the XC. I appreciate the link and will use it but it also does not have N560 listed. I talked with Sierra and they just set up a test barrel and hope to have information out next week.

VV don't list data for bullet weights over a 105 grains or data for N560 for any bullet weight on their app' . Nosler list data for 115 grain bullets , but again , no N560 .
Be careful if using Noslers stated C.O.A.L , I found I was jamming the lands hard in a C.I.P spec' chambered rifle with a 0.090" freebore .
It may be worth putting out a QuickLoad request or even emailing VV direct .

Sounds good. I did a short ladder with the 110SMK and the 115DTAC last weekend. The 110SMK shot great groups and about 3000fps. The 115 DTAC was not as good, RL 16 shoots better in my rifle for the 115. I used the 110 data for both loads and had no pressure signs to the max load listed by Sierra.
For the 6.5CM the 153 A tips shot ok groups but were about 100fps slower than H4350.
I did a small ladder for the 300WM as well using the 220SMK, decent groups, shot about 2940fps in a 30” barrel and was very flat shooting at 600yds

You start with the caliber/bullet combination and you find a powder that suits this combo well. I would not expect greatness from N560 in 6.5 creedmoor. Look at the burning rate and compare that with N555.

RL 16 shoots better in my rifle for the 115.

Of course it did because it's around the burn rate the 6xc cartridge was
based around for the D-Tac. Not knowing your barrel length or your
twist rate, 560 is too slow of a powder for the 6xc or Creedmoor. You
would benefit more to go to a faster powder then the R-16 / H-4350
range. Heavier bullets in the 115 area, V-150 would be a better ballpark.
A very good friend of mine tested the early run of R-15.5 in the 6xc and
D-Tac. 8 twist, 28" Brux. .140 custom freebore on the reamer, no turn.
That's been his go to load since the R-15.5 came available. He shoot's
Ridgway and Williamsport with it.

I shoot N555 in my 6xc, 260, 260AI, 65x284 6 creedmeer, they all shoot good it's a great medium powder

In the 6 XC and 6.5 Creedmoor, I'm Happy with,... IMR 4350, H-4350, & N150 and I Use, a LOT of StaBall 65 !
I've found GREAT Accuracy with StaBall 65 ( But I'm NOT,.. a BR "Competitor" ).
5 shot Group's ( depending, on Bullet ) into the Sub 3's and 4's down to, the Low 2's in my Semi custom 6 XC and 3's to 1/2 MOA, in my Modified 24" Tikka, 6.5 Creed.,.. ARE Fine for, L R Steel Plates and Varmints.
I Have also used some 4895 with, the Lighter Bullets, in Both Cart's.
40.7 grs of StaBall w/ F210M prs and a Lightly Jammed, 107 gr. SMK gets Me into the LOW 2's for, 5 shots !
"Pet Load" for the 6.5 Creed,.. 43.3 grs of StaBall 65, w/ 130 gr ELD-M's @ 2,850 fps and I get "CloverLeaf's",..
And almost, NO Recoil from, my Braked, 24" Tikka ! ( A real pleasure to, Shoot,.. a LOT !! )
I Have NOT Had, any Luck with, N-160, in the either Cartridge so, I AGREE w/ Fuj and I would, "Skip", It !
It ( N-160 ) Did shoot great, in our .243 Win Tikka with, 87 grain H-VLD's and V-Maxes, tho !
N-560 "Might work" with, the Heaviest, 6mm Bullets, in the 6 XC,.. the 110 to 115's ( Try, a pound of,.. it )

Let me throw this out there if your looking for that extra accuracy. When
working on the new items and going with Vhitavouri, I stick with the 100
series of their powders. It's single base. The 500 series of powders is their
double base. Double base has the Nitroglycerine added to boost energy,
but has never been known to help in the ES-SD department.

Good to know on the 100 series. I tried the N160 and it was way too slow. I haven’t used 15.5 yet given the RL 16 worked so well but have nothing against it. I was just looking for a VV powder or something easier to get. Staball 65 sounds interesting. This is a 28” Bartlein, 1:7.5”. It shoots the 107SMK, 110SMK and the 115 DTAC very well. I also have a 30” that is 1:7 that shoots great too. Interestingly I tried N150 a few months ago and could not get decent velocities although the groups were decent. I haven’t used N555 cause I was saving it for the 7PRCW but may have to try it based on 6mmSteve’s input. At least I have that, will have to get a pound of staball to try that. It’s ok I like the testing just don’t like to wear out a barrel doing it.

I know a lot of people's go to powders are VV . But , if the Reload Swiss powders are available RS62 works well in both and may be worth considering as a H4350 substitute . Primers seem to make a huge difference , Fed 210 lrp are working very well in my 6XC with RS62 pushing 108 grain bullet . If double base is your thing then RS60/ R17 .
