6x47 Powder Choice 80-87 gr bullets?

I would like to shoot the 80-87 grain bullets in my 6x47 Lapua.

What powders would be a good start?

Varget is going to be hard to beat. There are some other powders that will work but in my 6X47 L rifles, Varget works the best of all the different powders that I have tried.....

Mine likes 414 with 88 Bergers and N550 with the 80's

Is that statement for all bullets up to and including 105's or is that for the mid weights at 80 to 95?

That statement is based on my experience with bullets in the 80 to 87 Gr weight,...I have had better experience with H-4350 in the 90 Gr weights and up in the 6X47 L.

Mine won several matches with H4350, 87 grain vmax. 39.5 load.

Varget, H-4350, RL -17 All should give more than adequate results. CCI 450 primers, 8 twist should produce tiny groups.

My best loads with the 90 gr Nosler Accubond were with H-4350. That bullet shot one rgged hole groups with that powder. With the 87 Gr Berger VLD, varget shot one ragged hole groups and the SD was in the single digits. I was using a 10" twist barrel....

I have been using 4451 with 87g VMAX in a 26" 7 twist barrel. It's fast and accurate, puts a heck of a hit on varmints.
