6x47 and 87 gr v-max

anyone shooting the 6x47 with 87 grain v-max for varmints. what kind of speed can you get out of them?

PAshooter, have you read the article by Stan Stewart in Gun of the week #93? Stan's barrel was a 10tw and he was not satisfied with the 87gr Vmax. I was hoping I might have better luck out of my Bartlein 28' 8tw. I only tried about there different charges of both Varget & H4350 but never was able to get them to group and I didn't have any VV550, so I just gave up on the Vmax's. The 88gr FB Bergers pushed with H4350 shot consistent sub .250 groups @ 100yds and easily held 1/2' moa @ 500yds performing like target bullets in my gun. They're listed as a varmint/match grade bullet but they fail to impress in the dog towns, because they failed to produce splatter factor, p-dogs just fall over and kick once or twice and die. So I'm still needing a medium weight explosive varmint bullet above 75grs. I also hope someone has the answer.

What about the 80gr. Ballistic tip?

The 80 grain Berger Match bullet gives pretty good results with my 243 Winchester, might give you some splat factor as well.
