6x47 Lapua case capacity?

Gathering more info here,

Could you guy`s please measure the case capacity of your fired 6x47 Lapua cases........

Please let me know the method of measurement, IE...Water or Powder.

I used H-4350 (it was in the hopper) and filled a fired case to the neck/shoulder junction. Tapped it slightly and weighed it. 42.8 Grains....I believe you could easily get 43.0 of H-4350 in the case and still have plenty of room to seat a bullet without crushing the powder. Remember, this was in a fired case. Of course, a sized case would hold slightly less....

I must have a lot of Limestone! Mine go 48.8 of H2O at 1.843" case length. :-[

A buddy of mine measured his at 48.7 with water.

Interesting how a cartridge can vary.....

Trim length or how big a chamber is would effect volume. Probably how many times a case was fired or How hot it was shot would effect spring back and wouldn't take much for a grain of water. Matt
