Thanks Vick20 inch 6x45 1/10 twist on an AR platform.
Benchmark with 58grain VMax at 3216fps.
H335 with 58grain VMax at 3220fps.
Thanks 5spd for update…sounds like you’re primarily using yours for same purpose I’d be using one for. I’ve contemplated and talked with Matt at Dtech on several occasions about their 6DTI and it looks like I could prolly get that 3500fps but in comparison to having to get 6.8 brass I still feel pulled towards the 6.5x45….most of my shots be 350yards and less here in western Missouri.Built my 6x45 in 2011.

My go to coyote load is 28g h335, 55g varmageddon at 3053fps, suppressed.
The fastest I've shot 55s were 3300 fps. Never got faster no matter the powder.
Thanks 5spd I certainly wouldn't be opposed to 6x6.8 either once the brass situation gets back to "normal". Cheapest I can seem to find any is gunbroker and it's anywhere from $.50-$1.00/piece for brass...I guess I just don't want to have coyote hunters purchase remorse if I went with the 6x45.My farthest coyote with the 55g was 606 yards. Dropped right down, spine hit. I have no doubts when I have to stretch it past 400 yds since I have all my dial ups to 600yds. Just about all my kills are 200 yds or less though.
My pal runs the 65g vmax in his ar15 6x45 I built for him.
70g bullets womp em good, but are around 2800fps. 55-85g are just super accurate in the 6x45.
I also built a 6x6.8, 22" BHW bbl, ss, p3, 1/9 tw.
I run 90g bullets in that rig and it's even better than the 6x45 since the 90s are running 3100 fps.
6x45 is my go to daytime coyote rig.
