I've sent my Coooper M21V off to Montana for rebarreling to 6X45. Now I'd appreciate some input on: 1) Best equipment and procedures for converting .223 brass to 6X45 cases? 2) Is Redding the only company making dies for the 6X45? The Sinclair catalog shows them, but I was wondering if there are others. Many thanks for any assistance you can offer. George

I think Hornady makes 6x45 dies also. They may be limited run though. I have the redding dies which work great and I found them on thnet pretty reasonable. I believe they were in the $30 something range.I have used about every make of brass in mine and every brand will easily shoot sub 3/4 moa with handloads. Most will shoot 1/2 moa. If you are looking for good brass cheap, try the IMG 5.56 that was advertised here. I believe I got it from Lock stock & barrel. It was around $8 per hundred. It is pretty consistent and shoots great! Depending on your twist, try bullets in the 65-70 range. Mine Loves 70 Sierras and 68 Bergers. They like H335 the best. I used F205 primers, but WSR and Rem primers worked good too.
Good Luck,

Chris
