Just a couple years ago Hornady and Knights Armament were working on a new Cartridge. I'm not sure whether this was meant to be used in a Carbine or a Pistol? It appears from the pictures this Wildcat was capable of fitting in a 2" long Magazine. Brass was comparable in length to the 300 Blackout. Has anyone had experience with this Cartridge or it's usage? Claimed equal to 5.56 to 300 Yards.

I remember reading in Janes it was put forward as a chambering for a new PDW, that wasn’t adopted. Didn’t see any commercial success in that role and wasn’t really progressed.

24 'ish gr of H20 capacity in the 6 x 35 mm would make it not "Ideal" for subs. Definitely finicky with the gas pressures in semi-auto's due to the capacity of the case. Fill the case with slow burning powder to get subsonic and get low chamber pressures. Fill a little faster burning powder for subs, and get very low case fill.
On the other hand, in a 16" barrel, at 54,000 psi you could get the following performance (estimate based on case capacity and the 1.940" COAL)...
55 gr @ 2,950 - 3,000 fps
65 gr @ 2,750 - 2,800 fps
75 gr @ 2,550 - 2,600 fps
90 gr @ 2,350 - 2,400 fps
105 gr @ 2,100 - 2,150 fps
115 gr @ 1,950 - 2,000 fps

Gas port pistol position, adjustable gas block, with the advent of "brace" style stocks 12" barrels seem about perfect for subsonic apps. I'm using just short of 5gr enforcer with Hornady 105's.
With around 21 gr of Benchmark the Barnes VG's are going around 2530fps , from the same weapon.
It absolutely shines out of a bolt rifle (CZ527) @ subsonic speeds with regard to accuracy. No shortage of garden raiding quadrupeds have found their way into the freezer from my "hide" in the downstairs bath room.
