Bighorn action,
Bartlein 7.5 twist, Whitley contour, 26"
Chambered by Jon Beanland
Took it to the range this week. Very happy with the results. Loaded 107smk's and Berger Hybrids, 43/43.5/44 4831sc, CCIBR2. Shooting at 100yds. The 44/107smk shot the best at 3053fps. Of the Berger loads, the 44 grain load produce the best group/lowest SD/3062fps. Will mess with the seating depth on the Hybrids see if they'll tighten up. Have some Dtacs coming. Once I nail down a couple loads at 100yds will take them to 600yds.
Reamer neck OD .274. Lightly turned the necks for a loaded .271, using a .269 bushing, Winchester brass. In order to get the FL sized new brass to chamber, got some wrinkling below the shoulder, smoothed right out after firing.
Once aging very happy with the results, can't wait to shoot a steel match with it!
