6ppc twistrate

Depends on the bullet you want to shoot. Both twist have been on the winner's circle a bunch. Many are playing with the new gain twist available with cut barrels. Tony Boyer has had success with a 1:14 to 1:13.25 gain Krieger I think I read. That was a couple of years back. Not sure if he stuck with it. Luck, Tim

listen to your gunsmith.....

if he is a "B"enchrest gunsmith...and dont use him if he is NOT!!!
and listen to the people who are competitors....tiny was rite ...there is a "move" towards 13.5 twist bbls.....in the last 10 yrs there has been dramatic improvement in scopes, bbls, and bullets........when I started bak in the 70's a 14 twist was the way to go.....buttt....since then the bullets have improved in many ways...better jacket concintricity, and wayyyy more radical bullet profiles....and now prolly 1/2 of the bullets are BT's!!!! that was unheard of bak in the day.....and guess what....as the ojive gets pointer and the bak end gets a lil BT on it ....the BC of the bullet goes up .....and even the Easter Bunny knows what is required.....MORE twist....and your info doesnt tell where you live or shoot...but if you shoot in cold weather at a place like Fairchance Pa....you will wish you had more than 14.....I would get a 'cut' bbl...either Krieger or Bartline and do the twist with this new generation of BT bullets.....IMHO....Roger
