6ppc thoughts using this cal.coyotes?

Solid 300 yard groundhog gun, so it should handle a dog. Your limit is going to be the FB bullets and BC.

I’ve used both the 6 WOA and 6BR (about as close as you can get) for coyotes with the 70 varmageddon and the 68 avenger. There is absolutely nothing better.

I have a hard time with guys who want a .600 BC to “hunt” coyotes. I’ve shot my share beyond 400 yards, but it’s really impractical to build a rifle around that. Superb point blank accuracy and a wise bullet choice are the most important considerations. This photo is from two weekends ago, all but 2 of them fell to the 6BR and 68 avengers. I run a mild load, so you’re not far behind at all with the 6 PPC.

There is also no need to consider it a single shot. There are plenty of mag spacer kits available, as well as simple tools for bending feed lips.

I don't know about coyotes, but a friend and I took his Sako 75 ppc out with 55gr blitzkings on red fox and none of them answered us back. We were shooting them out to 400 yards under the light and killing them quite emphatically.

You are a coyote killin' machine !!!! Well done !!!!!!

It'll kill them just as well as any hot 22 or 6mm! Heck I use a 22 Hornet and have never lost one to it and the PPC is a cannon compared to that.

I had a Factory Cooper 6ppc and shot Coyotes, Southeastern Deer,
Crows, Beavers, etc. With Sierra 70 gr Mk’s, No runoff’s.
(Wished I still had that Rifle Too!!)
Dang it I sold it.

The 6PPC will whack them good. I've shot a bunch with my Sako. Coyotes didn't complain. Not one.

Years ago, I built a 22 PPC repeater on a Sako A1 action, worked well. Bolt heads are available from PTG for the Rem 783.

It’s not the size of the cartridge it’s the magic you work with it!:D
